Materials & Care
Solid maple
Each residence is built in solid maple, selected for its strength, fine grain, and the way it carries light. Wood is chosen and finished by hand at the Atelier.
Solid brass
The latches, hardware, and details are solid polished brass, made for PupHut alone. Concealed where it should be, celebrated where it deserves to be.
Vegan throughout
Every material in a PupHut is vegan. No leather, no silk, no animal-derived materials, anywhere.
Chosen with care
Every material is chosen with your dog’s wellbeing in mind: zero- and low-VOC finishes, vegan textiles, and surfaces meant to be cleaned and lived with easily.
Air & light
Every PupHut breathes by design. Arched windows on both side walls bring air and light in at your dog’s height: five slim openings on the smaller residences, seven on the larger, each proportioned to the wall it lives in. The louvred doors let warmer air drift up and out, and the back wall carries a louvre field of its own, composed to echo the doors, so air moves through the residence rather than sitting in it. Above it all, the arch does quiet work: air rises and moves under a curve in a way a flat roof never allows. Every opening is rounded and finished by hand, scaled to each size of residence. No fans, no hum: just architecture.
Built to be lived with
Solid maple joinery, custom brass, and hand-applied finishes, made for long-term indoor use with proper care. A residence meant to keep its shape, and its place in the room, through the years, and the dogs, to come.
Care
A residence is meant to be lived in: slept in, leaned against, grown older alongside. Care guidance comes with every commission, written for real homes and real dogs.
