A Canadian studio devoted to indoor dog residences. Each residence is a home of their own, built like fine furniture, made one at a time, by hand.

The Atelier

Handcrafted at The PupHut Atelier, every residence is made in furniture-grade solid maple with solid polished brass hardware, vegan throughout. The work is slow by design. Commissions open in small groups, so that each Resident can be received, named, and housed with care.

Residents

At the Atelier, every dog for whom we build is a Resident: a single dog whose name and way of living quietly shape their PupHut residence. When commissions open, each residence is reserved for one Resident only, and that name is carried through the work from the first day.

Materials and Craft

PupHut residences are built in solid maple, selected for its calm grain and the way it softens with time. Edges are resolved to sit comfortably among the pieces you already live with. Hardware is solid polished brass, chosen to age with use rather than resist it. Every residence is vegan throughout, from structure to interior.

The Atelier List

The Atelier List is the circle we write to first when new Residents may be commissioned. From the List, you will hear when commissions open and how to begin a residence for your own Resident. From time to time, we may share notes from the Atelier: materials on the bench, early views of the work, and the quiet details that appear nowhere else.
