The PupHut Atelier
One evening, the house will be quiet, and your dog will be asleep under the arch.
The Atelier exists for that evening.
The PupHut Atelier is a Canadian studio making indoor dog residences with the care that goes into fine furniture. Each residence is commissioned for one dog, and finished and assembled by hand at the Atelier in Canada.
How the residence is made
A Canadian woodwork shop makes the wooden parts, assembles the front frame and presses the arched roof. Everything then comes to the Atelier in Canada, where each residence is sealed, finished and assembled.
The solid brass hardware is made to our own drawings by a specialist brass workshop outside Canada. The materials themselves are on Craft and Materials.
Made for your Resident
A Resident is the dog a PupHut is commissioned for. We begin with your dog’s measurements, then go through the size and design choices with you. Your dog’s name stays with the residence through the whole commission.
The founder
PupHut was founded by Michelle, who served as National Executive Director of the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada before the Atelier. Those years shape its attention to materials, fit and finish.

Our approach
Commissions will open in small groups, so each residence can be finished and assembled with care. You approve your residence before it goes to the workshop. And the Atelier does not run sales or offer discount codes.
