The PupHut Atelier

How a commission works

Five steps, from the first Key to the first night home

You choose

1The KeyA Commission Deposit reserves your place, your Resident Number is assigned, and the Resident’s Key comes to you.

The Commission Deposit holds your commission and is credited in full against the first payment. Your Resident Number is assigned, and the Resident’s Key is sent.

You

Place the deposit and choose the name for the Key.

The Atelier

Assigns your Resident Number, sends the Resident Number letter, and ships the Key.

2The Resident ProfileYou tell us about your dog and the room they will live in. Everything that follows is measured against them.

You tell us about your dog and the room the residence will live in, with the address it will come home to. The Atelier checks the size against your dog and quotes delivery. A conversation is there for anyone who asks.

You

Complete the Resident Profile and address, required before any order.

The Atelier

Reads the Profile, checks the size against your dog, and quotes delivery to your address.

3Your designChosen online on Signature and Heirloom, or drawn with you on Bespoke. The first half is paid when you approve it, and you have three business days to sit with every choice.

Drawn with you, by application

  • The arched roof stays, the rest is drawn
  • Your Tailored Cover
  • A Design Recap is approved before checkout
  • One or two each year, by application

Every Private Residence closes with a solid brass latch. Keeper Bolts are an extra for a firmer close. They do not make a residence escape proof, and closed doors suit only dogs who already rest calmly behind one. Is it right for my dog? If you would like to talk it through before you choose, the Concierge is glad to.

Your yes

On Signature and Heirloom you choose online, and paying the first half, with the deposit credited, is your approval. Bespoke approves its Design Recap first. A three business day change window opens, and every commission is accepted by the Atelier before it goes to the bench. An Atelier Colour is approved in writing first, two to three weeks longer.

You

Pay the first half, and write to us with any change inside the window.

The Atelier

Reviews the order and accepts it.

We make it

4The benchThe wood is chosen and the making begins. Off the bench, checked, and ready to come home.

The window closes and the commission is final. The wood is chosen, the bench is set, and the making begins.

You

Hear from the Atelier as it is made.

The Atelier

Makes the residence.

Finished

The residence comes off the bench and passes its checks. The balance is invoiced that day and is due within twenty-one days.

You

Settle the balance, then choose a delivery day.

The Atelier

Invoices the balance and prepares the residence for the journey.

It comes home

5HomeYou choose the day, and it travels to you with tracking. Your Deed of Residence and Welcome Letter come with it.

The residence travels to you by carrier, with tracking.

You

Watch for its arrival.

The Atelier

Sends the tracking.

The day it arrives

The Deed of Residence and the Welcome Letter come with it, with the Design Recap for Bespoke. A fourteen day inspection window opens.

You

Look it over, and tell us anything at all in the first fourteen days.

The Atelier

Files the papers, and stays close.
