Built like the home it lives in.

Handcrafted at The PupHut Atelier. What makes a PupHut residence different, and who it is for.

Evening settles into the room.

Your dog has already chosen their place: under the arch, head up, watching the house move around them. Nothing sits stacked above their space. Nothing about it asks to be hidden when company comes. It stands in the room the way the rest of your furniture does: made, finished, meant to be there.

What is a PupHut residence?

A PupHut residence is an indoor dog residence: a furniture-grade piece for the home, handcrafted in Canada at The PupHut Atelier, built around a signature arch that gives your dog room to stand tall.

It holds the daily life of one dog: rest, retreat, a place of their own inside the rooms you actually live in.

New to the category? What is an indoor dog residence? explains it in full.

The difference, piece by piece

The signature arch. The arch gives your dog room to stand tall while giving the piece a softer, more architectural presence in the room. And the curved top does quiet work: it discourages clutter from settling above your dog's resting space, so the residence stays calm, clear, and beautifully their own.

Furniture-grade craft, handcrafted in Canada. Each residence is handcrafted in Canada with the care and finish quality of a furniture-grade piece: fitted doors, clean reveals, and the discipline of fine interior millwork, inspected before it leaves the Atelier.

Materials selected with intention. Solid maple, selected for its calm grain and the way it carries light. Finishes and textiles are chosen with beauty, durability, and dog-conscious living in mind: vegan throughout, for a piece your dog will rest against for hours of every day. Where we make a material claim, it is one we can document.

Solid brass, engraved for one dog. The hardware you can see is solid polished brass, and the nameplate above the door carries one name. Tailored colours and engraved brass details make each PupHut residence feel chosen, not generic.

Meant to be seen. A PupHut residence is designed to be placed, not hidden: closer to interior design than to pet equipment. It earns its place in a design-conscious home the way any well-made piece does, by belonging there.

Arrives as a finished piece. Every residence is delivered fully assembled. No flat pack, no bag of hardware, no evening lost to instructions: it enters your home as intended, finished, fitted, and ready for your dog.

Not for every dog, by design

A PupHut residence is built for indoor life: calm rest, quiet routine, a door that can close once a dog is comfortable with it. It is not built for destructive chewing, escape attempts, or panic behaviour, and it is not a travel piece. Honest boundaries protect dogs, and they protect the work. If you are unsure whether a residence suits your dog, ask us before you commission.

Crafted at The PupHut Atelier

Each residence is crafted at The PupHut Atelier: one residence at a time, sealed, finished, and fitted in the workshop, then delivered whole. The pace is the point. It is how a piece meant to last in a home gets made.

Every commission is built for a named dog: engraved on the nameplate, recorded in the Resident's Registry.
