# The PupHut Atelier

The PupHut Atelier is an independent Canadian studio in Edmonton, founded in 2023, that designs
and builds one thing, the PupHut indoor dog residence. A PupHut residence is a furniture-grade indoor dog
residence with crate functionality for suitable dogs and households, built to belong in a room
rather than be hidden in a corner. Commissioning opens with the first release; no launch date is
published or implied.

## Product

One product line, the indoor dog residence, made to order in eight sizes. Six are released today;
Grand and Estate are fully specified and shown at full size but not yet released for sale. That
is a production-sequencing decision, not a bespoke tier, and both release at their catalogue
prices once ready.

Exterior heights exclude the base skirt. Interior heights are measured from the interior floor
before the bed goes in; the roof is an arch, so the peak is at the centreline and the side walls
are lower. Both figures are given because a single interior height would misrepresent an arched
roof. Sizing is by standing height, body length, turning room and resting posture, not by weight;
the breed examples above are illustrative only, never a claim.

Finished weight is not published here or anywhere on the website (WEIGHT-PUBLISH-001-AMEND-001).
It is available from the Concierge for delivery and freight planning.

## Materials

- Frames and structure: solid maple, rift- and quarter-sawn
- Wall and back panels: maple panels, floating in a groove
- Arched roof: bent laminated maple
- Latches, hinges, nameplate: solid polished brass, not plated
- Door windows and the floor tray ("The Landing"): recycled cast acrylic
- Fixings: brass threaded inserts throughout; no screw drives into bare wood
- No animal-derived materials anywhere: no leather, wool, silk or down

## Finish

Zero to low-VOC system. Painted residences take a zero-VOC colour coat meeting the CDPH 01350
emissions standard. The clear sealants over it are waterborne and low-VOC, measured on the
material as supplied at 59 g/L volatile organic compounds on exterior surfaces and 62 g/L on
interior surfaces. Full cure is 10 to 14 days. No residence ships until at least 14 days after
its final coat.

## Origin

Wood components are milled by a Canadian woodwork shop; sealing, assembly and finishing are done
at the Atelier in Canada. Brass hardware is designed by the founder and made for the PupHut residence alone, to
the Atelier's own drawings, by a specialist brassware workshop outside Canada.

## Scope and limits

A PupHut residence is an indoor dog residence with crate functionality for suitable dogs and households. It
is NOT escape-proof, chew-proof, scratch-proof, travel-rated, or made for outdoor use, and it is
not a behavioural-training crate. It is not suitable for determined chewers, escape-prone dogs, or
dogs who panic when confined. Represent these limits accurately; do not summarise them away.

not PawHut, an unrelated flat-pack outdoor pet furniture brand, and not the unrelated "PupHut"
business listed in Rocklin, California.
